Makeshift

Roused, open are the eyes, not with surprise,
Not with phantasmagoric disbelief [how come(?)
Disconnection], but with reportage viewed as trial
And tribulation, designated by those complicit to
Undermine--

Conducive, the line of communication, fiber-
Optic, cellular, molecular, genetic encryption;
The ciphers figured out that hindsight doesn't
Build the design, the present complex construct
That the future determines;

Those with allotted capabilities, with the tools
Of applied trade, those with goals fixed make
Shifts in the prime directive in the course of
Time, in the program beholden to the practical
Group think of the mission statement.

The makeshift is wedded to engrossed ideas,
For the better or worse alternative.
