The Extrapolated Trifle

I

Splish-splash swimming--
Fun has the geek in the filtered
Pool water, a float (inner tube),
Using arms as oars to paddle;
Amphibian-like legs scissor.

II

A matinee movie--
Popcorn nibbling family,
Prolonged momentary air-conditioned
Relaxation.

III

Walk into humidity--
A thick sweat adheres shirt
To talcked torso: gravy glue.

Perspiration beads on oily-filmed
Forehead (melted butter viscous-
Coated cranium)--heat hallucinations.

IV

Air guitar lick.
Note to self: the pie stash is low.
Find rest in hammock.
"The endgame is woe," says source.
The loss for words pools.
Take a dive.
