A bridge designed naturally
By a tributary creek tunneling
Beneath a cave, carving out
A gorge--

The weathered limestone
Conceals Ordovician fossils;
However, given proper sunlight,
Angular beams flood the
Horizontal strata and expose a
Sculpture, reveal a reclining
Figure, a vestige enshrined:

A quarry quandary--
A Monacan mystery from a
More recent ancient time?!

The totem apparition remains
As thoughts entombed in
Meditation, as those who walk
Along the path against, then with
The flow of the creek, as those
Who await the mind and heart
To be freed, for the assemblage
Of words to be spoken.
