Obsessed are we with girth.

The belly bulbous
As a blushing cheek--
Not as firm as a rawhide rump,
Nor as dimpled as a gelatinous jowl.

Cry foul we do
When weight is
Not gained or lost
'Humously.

Shape forms the stomach--
The ripple effect.
Abdominal-speak dominates
The discussion all
The way to dearth.

Such expository
Posits deposits;
A blog bogging down
This (in)faminous digest.
Unending is the distension.

There is round,
And then there's round:
To fit in with delight
And a healthy glow!
