CULINARY MUSING 025: August 6, 2006 [listen]

Boxed Memory

When was the last time you had a decent meal?
What qualified the meal as decent?
How would you go about recreating the meal?
Once recreating that meal, how decent was the experience?

Send an email to [meals@eatingredients.com] to fill-in this brief questionnaire.

Thus far, I have shared the foodstuff listings that I have prepared, for the most part, one to four times. Included with the listings are/were what I hope to be time-honored poetry and salient commentary; for we all do contemplate memory worthiness and recreation.

Maybe these recreations (yours and mine) will suffice as repeaters--leftovers from circumstances outstanding time, yet boxed in memory.

Poem [listen] Foodstuff

Fathom Memory

Disconnected.
There is a gap between
The venerable Alpha-Beta generation
And the variable x-y-z dimension:
About twenty letters!

Competing technologies--
Scaly scalar and indignant digital,
Deified contemplations
And reified configurations--
The static olive tree nexus
To the speeding herd, lest us
Not forget (the end of) history!

Fathom memory--
Trying to squeeze
Back into what was
Let and worked
Outside of the box.

Greco-Rainbow Trout

Rainbow Trout (whole)
Seasalt
Olive Oil
Red Pepper
Green Pepper
Onion (yellow)
Lemon juice
Cured Olives

Feta
