Binge Cooking

Logic gone rampant like salmon migrating upstream, this uncontrollable urge is not inspiration as some might think.

Inspiration is an obliged fulfillment of progressive creation, whereas urgency is a situated enactment of sheer force.

For the chef, this rampant logic is manifested in binge cooking.

The purge tends to be a glut that overwhelms refrigerator and freezer capacity let alone what can be ingested in one surfeit sitting, regardless of inspired or urgent taste.


Poem [listen] Foodstuff

Binge Cooking

A compulsion to prepare meals--
Craving culinarity;
Concocting delectable servings;
Appetizing the soul,
But not feeding it.

A spree esprit of freedom is
Nonetheless an asserted sort of control.

Roasted Salmon Mushroom Noodles

Salmon
Capers
Lemon Juice
Olive Oil
Crushed Garlic

Onion Olive Oil
Mushroom (thickly sliced)
Fresh Dried Parsley
Vegetable Noodles
