A Menu's Referendum

To luxuriate--a wish list due to experience or the lack thereof--options are selected. To accommodate--availability, budget and confidence--items are chosen for their practicality. To anticipate--a decision, emboldened by age and/or entertained by likeness, must be enacted: point taken. To celebrate a culture, the atmospheric pleasure pressures a menu's referendum.

Menu Referenda

Determining a meal that
Entertains the tastes of
Guests affects recipe
Selection if not in
Famous with regards.

Party celebrity is the focus.

The purpose of the menu--
Comforting specialty:
Everyday or occasional,
Nurtural or natural,
Restorative or decadent.

In combination,
Such referenda embody
Will and determination--
A generalization,
Not compromise.

Calamari Salad

Squid (marinade in lemon juice, sautéed)
Flat Pasta Squares
Olive Oil
Light Garlic
Cilantro
Bed of Rodicio
Tomatoes (Jerusalem)


Ed's Southwest Salmon

Corn Niblets
Garlic Clove
Green Pepper
Onion
Tomato Paste
Chilli Powder

Refried Black Beans
Lime juice

Salmon
Lemon

Rice (yellow)

Corn Chips


Peach Tart

Flour
Butter

Peach (pealed, poached, diced)
Raw sugar (pestled)
Anise (pestled)
