Condiments
There is no profundity,
only irony.
An auxiliary, condiments bring consistency to a meal, rendering
the food palpable.
Condiments, adding a consistent value, are a catalyst flavor,
a spice combination distributed as crystals in either a
teaspoon scoop or a scaled packet, else in a liquefied form
as a dollop, a dip, a dash or a squirt.
Accenting or smothering, condiments stabilize normalcy
over the exquisite--a preference for the "plain,"
a polemic to bland the brand.
A conundrum: fried
potatoes with catsup/mayonnaise.
Condiments heighten the senses or dull the sensation--an
opposition in the constant battle for the just,
right?
