CULINARY MUSING 015: April 30, 2006 [listen]

Feeding Remuneration

What is said in the house stays in the house. What is done is done. When all is said and done, what is the truth?

Behind the scenes is a tableau feeding remuneration: a portrait propelling the condition of provision, the responsibility of connectivity extended along belief and commitment, along blood and genes; a picture portraying the lines that limit the nurturing brood as the truth ekes out after all.

With these images in mind, when all is said and done, what is fatefully paid in full is also cultivated in what we eat.

Perhaps that is why we are supposed to masticate majestically, chew with our mouth closed.
